How can we tell if we are truly born of God?

1 John 4:7 states, 'Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God and knoweth God.' Our love for others is a vital evidence of being born again. This love is not manufactured but is a natural outpouring of experiencing God's love in our lives. If we find ourselves loving others—desiring their good, serving them, and making sacrifices for them—it serves as a confirmation that we have been transformed by the love of God. It’s also a reminder that our connection to Him enables us to embody the very love we have received.
