How can we test the reality of our faith?

Answered in 1 source

We can test our faith by examining our feelings toward sin, our affections towards Christ, and the fruit produced in our lives.

To determine the reality of our faith, we must engage in self-examination through several key indicators. Firstly, evaluate your feelings towards sin; a true believer will have a profound view of sin as abominable and worthy of condemnation. Secondly, consider your affections toward Christ; do you truly love Him and find comfort and delight in His presence? These feelings should culminate in a genuine glorification of Him as your Savior. Finally, look at the fruits of your life; are you exhibiting characteristics such as love, humility, and a desire for righteousness that the Holy Spirit produces? If these elements are present and flourishing, it reassures us of the authenticity of our faith.
