How can we understand our own sinfulness?

Answered in 1 source

One can understand their sinfulness fully by comparing themselves with the holiness of Christ as revealed in Scripture.

The sermon articulates that a true vision of Christ leads to an accurate understanding of one's own sinfulness. When believers encounter Christ in His holiness, they recognize their total lack of strength and see their righteousness as nothing but corruption. This understanding is foundational to the Gospel; until one sees Christ, they may not grasp the depth of their need for His grace. A vision of Christ reveals the contrast between His perfection and our fallen nature, prompting repentance and reliance on His redemptive work.
