How can we view our afflictions as light?

Answered in 1 source

We can view our afflictions as light by comparing them to God’s grace and glory that await us.

In 2 Corinthians 4:17, Paul refers to our 'light affliction’ which is but for a moment. This perspective comes from understanding the eternal weight of glory that our present sufferings cannot compare to. Our sufferings, while significant in this life, are transient and will ultimately lead to greater blessings in eternity. This mindset helps encourage Christians to endure trials, fostering a spirit of perseverance bolstered by hope in Christ's promises. Thus, our hardships, when viewed in light of eternal reality, become manageable and lead to spiritual growth and reward.
