How can we walk in newness of life?

Answered in 1 source

Walking in newness of life involves living in accordance with the Spirit and recognizing one's identity in Christ (Romans 6:4).

Romans 6:4 states, "Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life." This newness of life refers to the believer's transformation and regeneration through faith in Christ. This transformation empowers Christians to live by the Spirit, producing a lifestyle that reflects their new identity as children of God. Walking in newness involves daily surrender, recognizing that while we are made new, we are still engaged in a battle against sin. However, through grace, we are equipped to resist sin and embrace a life characterized by holiness, love, and service, continually growing in grace and knowledge of Christ.
