How did Solomon’s reign foreshadow Christ's rule?

Answered in 1 source

Solomon's reign foreshadowed Christ's rule by exemplifying wisdom, peace, and unifying authority, which Christ embodies perfectly.

Solomon’s reign serves as a typological foreshadowing of Christ’s perfect rule in several ways. While Solomon was known for his wisdom and the construction of the temple, these were mere reflections of Christ’s ultimate wisdom and His establishment of a spiritual temple made of living stones. Solomon brought peace to Israel through earthly means, whereas Christ offers a profound peace that reconciles humanity with God. In addition, Solomon’s kingship attracted other nations, prefiguring how Christ’s kingdom would call people from all nations to Himself. Thus, Solomon presents a glimpse into the greater fulfillment found in Christ, whose reign is marked by justice, mercy, and everlasting dominion.
