How do believers experience the righteousness of God?

Answered in 1 source

Believers experience the righteousness of God through faith in Christ, which makes them one with Him.

Believers experience the righteousness of God through the indwelling of Christ, as proclaimed in 1 Corinthians 1:30, where Paul teaches that Christ has been made unto us wisdom, righteousness, sanctification, and redemption. This union with Christ means that not only are believers declared righteous, but the very life of Christ is imparted to them. In the new birth, believers are bestowed with new spiritual life, enabling them to walk in righteousness. Thus, through the working of the Holy Spirit, believers become participants of divine nature, allowing them to live in ways that reflect the holiness and righteousness that come from God in Christ.
