How do spiritual gifts work in the body of Christ?

Answered in 1 source

Spiritual gifts are diverse abilities given by God's grace to each believer for the edification of the body of Christ (Romans 12:4-6).

In Romans 12:4-6, Paul teaches that just as a body has many parts, the church, as the body of Christ, comprises many members with different functions. Each believer is endowed with spiritual gifts according to God's grace. These gifts, whether prophecy, teaching, serving, or showing mercy, enable us to serve one another effectively. The diversity of gifts contributes to the unity and growth of the church, as each member plays a vital role in fulfilling God's purposes.
