How do trials relate to true worship?

Answered in 1 source

Trials are used by God to refine our faith and lead us to deeper worship and dependence on Him.

Trials play a significant role in the life of a believer as they serve to refine our faith and draw us closer to Christ. According to Psalm 66, God sends trials not as punishment but as a means of increasing our reliance on Him. They reveal our weaknesses and drive us to seek His strength and grace. Time and again, the faithful can see God’s hand in their trials, recognizing that these experiences are intended to make them more beautiful and valuable in His sight. As we endure trials, we learn to praise God not for the trials themselves, but for the results they yield—drawing us closer to Him and enriching our worship as we recognize His sovereign control over our lives.
