How do we approach God according to Reformed theology?

Answered in 1 source

In Reformed theology, we approach God not through works but through faith in Christ alone.

Reformed theology emphasizes that our approach to God is based entirely on Christ's sufficiency and not on our own merits or efforts. This is rooted in the belief that all humans are sinful and fall short of God's glory (Romans 3:23). Consequently, we are called to trust in Christ's completed work, which reconciles us to God and grants us a status of being declared righteous (justification) solely by faith (Romans 5:1). This assurance enables the believer to live in freedom from the law and to experience the love and acceptance of God as His beloved children.
