How do we attain true salvation according to the Bible?

Answered in 1 source

True salvation, as described in the Bible, begins with God's sovereign grace and not our actions or formulas.

The Bible presents true salvation as grounded in God’s sovereign grace, beginning with His decision to forgive our sins, rather than our own efforts to seek forgiveness. As explained in Micah 7:18-19, salvation is less about following a set of steps and much more about recognizing God's initiative in offering mercy and grace. True salvation manifests in Christ’s atonement, accomplished before the foundation of the world, as highlighted in Revelation 13:8. Therefore, understanding that salvation is God’s work invites us into a relationship defined not by our merit but by His grace.
