How do we become members of God's royal family?

To become a member of God's royal family, one must be born again by the Holy Spirit. John 3 illustrates this necessity of spiritual rebirth for entering into the kingdom of God. In our natural state, we are all sinners and children of wrath (Ephesians 2:3), but through God’s mercy and grace, we are transformed into His children by faith in Christ. This is not a result of our works, but is a gift of grace that allows us to call God our Father and receive the full inheritance promised to His children (Galatians 4:7).
