How do we call on God when we are overwhelmed?

Answered in 1 source

We call on God earnestly, acknowledging our dependence on Him and seeking His guidance and deliverance.

When we feel overwhelmed, the biblical response is to cry out to God sincerely, as David did in Psalm 143, where he pleads, 'Make haste to help me, O Lord.' This urgency in prayer demonstrates our recognition of His sovereignty and our reliance on His power to deliver us from our adversities. Expressing our struggles to God not only communicates our dependence but also aligns our hearts with His will, as we seek His guidance and trust in His timing. In our overwhelming moments, we are encouraged to reach for His presence with faith, believing that He hears and acts on our behalf.
