How do we come to Christ on the right grounds?

Answered in 1 source

We must come to Christ as needy sinners, recognizing our guilt and the necessity of His grace.

To come to Christ on the right grounds means acknowledging our inherent sinfulness and need for grace. The Gospels provide examples of individuals who came to Him with empty hands rather than relying on their religion, morality, or heritage. The publican in Luke 18 exemplifies this approach, humbly asking for mercy rather than boasting of his righteousness. When we recognize our spiritual poverty and need for His salvation, we align ourselves with the Biblical truth that Christ receives sinners. It’s essential that our focus remains on His sufficiency and not on what we can bring to the table, ensuring that our faith is genuine and rooted in the grace of God.
