How do we comfort those grieving the loss of a Christian?

Answered in 1 source

We comfort them with the hope of resurrection and the peace that comes from knowing their loved one is asleep in Christ.

When comforting those who mourn the loss of a loved one who was a believer, we emphasize the hope provided through the resurrection and the promise of eternal life. As 1 Thessalonians 4:13-14 instructs, we do not grieve as those without hope, for we believe that God will bring with Him those who have died in Christ. The understanding that their loved ones are not dead in the final sense, but rather asleep in Christ, provides immense comfort. In addition to offering the assurance of resurrection, it is essential to remind the grieving of the peace and rest that their loved ones now enjoy, free from pain and suffering.
