How do we enter into God's rest?

Answered in 1 source

We enter into God's rest by believing in Jesus Christ and resting in His completed work of redemption.

According to Hebrews 4, entering into God's rest is a matter of faith in Jesus Christ. This rest was exemplified in God's own cessation of work after creation and now fulfilled in Christ's redemptive work. Believers are called to cease from their own works—those efforts to earn God's favor—and instead rest in Christ, acknowledging that through His sacrifice, we have profound peace with God. The rest we seek is deeply relational, as we find our identity and assurance in Christ's righteousness, thus becoming participants in the eternal rest set before us, celebrating His completed salvation on our behalf.
