How do we find assurance of salvation?

Answered in 1 source

Assurance of salvation is found not in ourselves but in Christ, who fulfills all our needs despite our shortcomings.

The truth that 'every man at his best state is altogether vanity' (Psalm 39:5) teaches us that our worth lies solely in Christ. Assurance comes when we look away from our own works and shortcomings and fix our gaze on Jesus. It is not about how we feel or what we see within ourselves, but about the faithfulness of Christ’s work for us. As we trust in Him and His redemptive work, we can have confidence in our salvation because He will not leave us looking to ourselves for assurance.
