How do we find comfort during times of loss?

Answered in 1 source

Comfort in loss comes from relying on the promises of God and the understanding of Christ's work and presence in our lives.

The comfort we seek during times of loss is grounded in the promises of God and His Word. As noted in 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, God comforteth us in all our tribulations, enabling us to comfort others. For the believer, this comfort stems from recognizing that Christ is the source of our peace and hope. He understands our grief, having experienced it Himself, and He invites us to cast our burdens upon Him (Matthew 11:28-30). The finished work of Christ reassures us that we are not alone in our sorrow; His presence brings true peace during our trials.
