How do we find confidence in salvation according to the Bible?

Answered in 1 source

Confidence in salvation comes from faith in God's promises and the person of Jesus Christ.

The foundation of our confidence in salvation is twofold: the Word of God written and the Word of God incarnate, who is Christ. Romans 4 affirms that Abraham's faith was counted as righteousness because he believed God’s promises. We, too, can find our assurance and hope rooted not in our works or faithfulness but in Christ alone. The Scripture declares repeatedly that belief in Jesus, who is the fulfillment of God’s promises, is the source of our confidence for eternal life. Understanding this ensures we are anchored in the right foundation and not swayed by fluctuating feelings or false assurances.
