How do we grow into maturity as believers?

Answered in 1 source

Believers grow into maturity through the power of the Holy Spirit and by nourishing themselves with the Word of God.

Growth into maturity is presented as a process that involves both the individual believer and the collective body of the church. As articulated in Ephesians 2:18-22, the Spirit plays a foundational role in equipping believers for growth into a holy people. This includes embracing the teachings of Scripture, participating in the life of the church, and being unified in doctrine and affection for the gospel. Continuing to pursue a deeper understanding of God's Word fosters spiritual health and accountability, ensuring that the church reflects the glory of God properly. Such maturity is necessary for the church to fulfill its role as the dwelling place of God by the Spirit.
