How do we know a sinner can be righteous?

Answered in 2 sources

A sinner can be righteous through union with Christ, imputation of Christ's righteousness, and the gift of faith.

The sermon establishes that a sinner can indeed be righteous, and this righteousness is achieved in five essential ways: by union with Christ, by imputation of His righteousness, as a divine gift, by nature through regeneration, and by faith. This means that when a sinner places their faith in Christ, they are united with Him and His perfect righteousness is imputed to them. They receive a new nature that is righteous, allowing them to stand justified before God as if they had never sinned.
