How do we know assurance in Christ is true?

Answered in 2 sources

Our assurance in Christ is affirmed through Scripture, which tells us there is no condemnation for those in Him.

The assurance of salvation in Christ rests upon the truth of God's Word. Romans 8:1 explicitly states, 'There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus.' This promise anchors our hope and confidence as believers. Additionally, 1 John 3:20 reminds us that even when our hearts condemn us, God is greater than our hearts, affirming that our assurance is not based on our feelings but on the unchanging truth of Christ's finished work. Our peace and security come from fully relying on Christ and His righteousness, not our own.
