How do we know Christ alone is necessary for salvation?

Answered in 1 source

Christ Himself declared that He is the only way to salvation.

In John 14:6, Jesus states, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.' This statement underscores the necessity of faith in Christ for salvation. Additionally, the early church consistently affirmed this doctrine, as found in Acts 16:31, where Paul and Silas tell the jailer, 'Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved.' The early church's emphasis on belief in Christ alone establishes a clear assurance that salvation is attainable only through Him, making everything else secondary.
