How do we know Christ avenged our sins?

Answered in 1 source

Christ avenged our sins by His sacrificial death on the cross, satisfying God's justice (1 Peter 2:24).

The avenging of our sins is most clearly demonstrated in the sacrificial work of Christ on the cross. Just as Samson avenged Israel by defeating their enemies, Jesus avenged our sin by taking on Himself the punishment we deserved. As noted in 1 Peter 2:24, 'He Himself bore our sins in His body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness.' This monumental act satisfied God's justice and provided atonement for the elect. Thus, through Christ's sacrifice, God's vengeance against sin was executed, securing redemption for His people.
