How do we know Christ cares for the distressed and discontent?

Answered in 1 source

Christ’s care for the distressed is evident in His call to those who are weary and burdened to come to Him for rest (Matthew 11:28).

The tender heart of Christ is shown throughout Scripture, particularly in Matthew 11:28, where He invites those who are weary and burdened to come to Him for rest. This invitation extends to all, especially those who recognize their own distress, incapacity to pay their debts, and disenchantment with the world. He understands our struggles and beckons us to find solace in Him. Just as David became a captain to those in need, Christ takes on this role perfectly, promising to care for and lead His people through their trials. This assurance that He is intimately aware of and cares for our needs draws believers to Him, enabling them to experience profound peace and contentment.
