How do we know Christ died for all?

Answered in 1 source

We know Christ died for all because the Scriptures teach that He took the place of all sinners by His sacrificial death, as stated in 1 John 2:2.

The assurance that Christ died for all is firmly rooted in the revelation of Scripture. 1 John 2:2 affirms that Jesus is the propitiation for our sins, not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world. This universal scope of His atonement signifies that His sacrificial death addresses the sins of humanity collectively, presenting believers with an invitation to partake of His grace through faith. While Christ's death is sufficiently offered to all, the effective application of this atonement occurs through individual belief and acceptance of His sacrifice, highlighting both God's grace and human responsibility in the salvation process.
