We know Christ dwells in us because we have faith in Him, which manifests in love and obedience.
The indwelling of Christ in believers is a fundamental truth of the Christian faith emphasized in Galatians 2:20, where Paul states, 'I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me.' This transformation is evident through our faith and the life we now lead by His grace. As Ephesians 3:17 asserts, 'That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,' it is through faith that we experience His presence and transformation. The love that flows from Him enables us to reflect His character, such that we know we are His by the love we exhibit towards others and a desire for holiness. Therefore, the active realization of Christ's presence within us is evidenced by the spiritual fruit produced in our lives.
