How do we know Christ fulfilled the law?

Answered in 21 sources

Christ's fulfillment of the law is evident in His obedience and the sacrificial system He embodies, as described in Scripture.

In Psalm 40, it is stated that Jesus came in the volume of the book written of Him, expressing His delight in doing God's will. The fulfillment of the law is intricately tied to Christ's sacrificial work, as He became the ultimate sacrifice that all previous offerings pointed towards. The Apostle to the Hebrews emphasizes that Christ's sacrifice was not like those of the Old Testament, which could not achieve true atonement. Instead, His willingness to assume our nature and to fulfill the covenant of grace by offering Himself highlights how Christ perfectly accomplished what the law required, offering full and eternal redemption for His people.
