Christ fulfilled the Passover by being the ultimate sacrificial Lamb whose blood redeems us from sin.
The fulfillment of the Passover is seen in Christ's sacrifice on the cross. In John 1:29, John the Baptist identifies Jesus as 'the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world.' Just as the Passover lamb was sacrificed and its blood applied to save the Israelites from judgment in Egypt, Christ's blood is applied to us, delivering us from God's wrath. Paul reinforces this in 1 Corinthians 5:7 by stating, 'For even Christ, our Passover, is sacrificed for us.' Through this, believers are reminded that we no longer need the Old Covenant feasts as Christ has completed that work. His sacrifice provides not just atonement for sin but also the basis for our ongoing relationship with God as His regenerated people.
