How do we know Christ fulfilled the Sabbath?

Answered in 1 source

Christ is the fulfillment of the Sabbath, providing perfect rest through His finished work.

The New Testament reveals that Christ is our true Sabbath. Scriptures such as Hebrews 4:3 state that those who believe have entered into God's rest. This rest signifies the end of our striving to earn salvation through works. Christ's completed work on the cross signifies that He has fulfilled every requirement of the law, rendering the ceremonial observance of the Sabbath obsolete for believers. Instead of observing a literal day, Christians are called to rest in the spiritual peace that Christ provides, fulfilling the true purpose of the Sabbath.
