How do we know Christ is king despite worldly appearances?

Answered in 1 source

Christ's kingship is evidenced through His resurrection and ongoing authority over all creation, even when He seemed powerless.

Though Jesus appeared weak during His crucifixion, His true identity as King is revealed through His authority over sin and death, highlighted by His resurrection. The world's failure to recognize Jesus as King serves as an illustration of how true power often disguises itself in humility and suffering. Like David fleeing from Saul, Christ's path included rejection and humility, yet He ultimately fulfilled God's redemptive plan. The power of Christ is not displayed in political might or worldly success but through His sacrificial love and the establishment of His eternal kingdom. This paradox calls believers to embrace their faith, even when circumstances suggest otherwise, and to trust in Christ's sovereign reign.
