How do we know Christ is our kinsman-redeemer?

Answered in 15 sources

Christ fulfills the role of kinsman-redeemer by being related by blood, able to pay the redemption price, and willingly taking on our debts.

Christ is our kinsman-redeemer as He meets all the requirements outlined in Scripture. First, He is of our flesh and blood, as described in Hebrews 2:14, which emphasizes His incarnation. Secondly, He possesses the means to redeem us, having paid the ultimate price for our sins through His own precious blood (1 Peter 1:18-19). Additionally, Christ was willing to redeem us, showcasing His desire to fulfill God's will (Hebrews 10:7). Unlike earthly kinsmen who might refuse, Christ joyfully assumes the role of redeemer, offering grace and mercy to those who are hopeless.
