How do we know Christ is our life and righteousness?

Answered in 1 source

Christ is our life and righteousness as He nourishes our souls and embodies all that we need for salvation.

In the sermon, it is emphasized that Christ is not merely a source of life but the essence of life itself. As highlighted in John 6:35, Jesus claims, 'I am the bread of life; he who comes to Me will never hunger, and he who believes in Me will never thirst.' This illustrates that true spiritual sustenance comes from Christ alone. Furthermore, believers are not to look to their own deeds or self-righteousness as a means of salvation, but rather to Christ's atoning work. He is the righteousness of God imputed to us through faith, providing for us not only in this life but also for eternity. Our standing before God is entirely dependent on Christ and His obedience, fulfilling the law on our behalf.
