How do we know Christ is our only refuge?

Answered in 1 source

Christ is the only true refuge as He is the foundation laid in Zion, promising safety from judgment.

Isaiah 28:16 states, 'Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation, a stone, a tried stone, a precious cornerstone, a sure foundation.' This verse illustrates that Christ is the dependable foundation for believers. Unlike the refuge of lies that leads to destruction, those who believe in Christ will not be swept away by judgment. By trusting in Jesus, we acknowledge His power to save, and we find our true refuge in Him, who is the truth itself (John 14:6). Thus, knowing and believing in Christ provides us with the assurance of salvation and eternal security against God's wrath.
