How do we know Christ is our portion?

Christ is our portion because, as believers, we receive all that we need through Him for salvation and sustenance.

In Scripture, believers declare that 'The Lord is my portion' emphasizing that Christ is not just a part of our lives, but our entire inheritance. He is given fully to each believer, ensuring that all spiritual blessings are found in Him, as stated in Ephesians 1:3. This is further echoed in Psalm 16:5 where David proclaims that 'The Lord is the portion of mine inheritance.' All of God's promises and provisions for life and godliness come through our union with Christ, making Him our sufficient portion.
