How do we know Christ is our Sabbath?

Answered in 10 sources

Christ fulfills the law and serves as our true rest, indicating that our relationship with Him is at the heart of Sabbath observance.

Christ embodies the essence of the Sabbath, as reflected in His assertion in Mark 2:28 that He is the Lord of the Sabbath. By fulfilling the law through His life and sacrificial death, He provides true rest to sinners who come to Him in faith. According to Romans 10:4, 'Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone that believeth,' showcasing that He meets the demands of the law on our behalf. Thus, He invites us to rest in Him, no longer striving to earn righteousness through works but trusting in His completed work. Our observance of the Sabbath, therefore, is rooted in a relationship with Him rather than mere legal compliance.
