How do we know Christ is our sin offering?

Scripture testifies that Christ is the Lamb of God, a sinless sacrifice who was foretold long before His arrival on earth. In 1 Peter 1:19, He is described as a lamb without blemish or spot. This indicates His perfect purity and sinlessness, essential for Him to be an acceptable offering for our sins. The Passover lamb, which foreshadowed Christ, had to be unblemished, pointing toward Christ’s immaculate nature. Only such a Lamb could bear the sins of many, which is the central theme of salvation in Reformed theology.
