How do we know Christ is our standard for righteousness?

Answered in 1 source

Christ is our standard because He epitomizes perfect obedience to God's law, which we cannot achieve on our own.

Christ is not only our example of righteousness, but He is also the fulfillment of the law itself. In light of Christ, we come to understand our own inability to meet God's perfect standards. This realization drives us to Him, recognizing that He is our righteousness (1 Corinthians 1:30). While we strive to imitate His compassion, mercy, and patience, we must also acknowledge that true spiritual strength is derived from relying on His grace rather than our works, as we cannot measure up without Him.
