How do we know Christ is our ultimate high priest?

In the context of Exodus 29, the role of the high priest is pivotal, as it is Aaron and his descendants who are chosen to mediate between God and Israel. However, this points ultimately to Christ, who is described in Hebrews as the great high priest. Unlike the priests of the Old Testament who had to continually offer sacrifices for their sins and those of the people, Christ's sacrifice was once for all. He fulfilled the requirements of the law and made a final atonement for sin, demonstrating that He is both the priest and the offering itself. His perfection and sinlessness enable Him to mediate between God and humanity, establishing a new covenant under which believers receive forgiveness and eternal life.
