How do we know Christ is sovereign?

Answered in 1 source

Christ's sovereignty is evident in His eternal existence and His claim over death and life.

In the Word of God, the sovereignty of Christ is unmistakably presented as He states, 'I am He that liveth and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore' (Revelation 1:18). This declaration underscores that Christ is not just alive but is life itself. His position as the first and the last illustrates His control over all events, further affirming that His dominion is absolute and unchallenged. No one can genuinely encounter Him without recognizing His sovereignty and power.
