How do we know Christ is the great peacemaker?

Answered in 1 source

Christ is recognized as the great peacemaker because He made peace through His blood on the cross.

Colossians 1:19-20 declares, 'For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell, and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, having made peace through the blood of His cross.' This passage affirms that Christ embodies the fullness of God's attributes and that through His sacrificial death, He reconciled His people to God. Unlike human attempts at peace, which can be superficial, Christ's reconciliation addresses the root of enmity caused by sin, providing a lasting peace that is rooted in His finished work. This establishes Him definitively as the great peacemaker.
