How do we know Christ is the one Lord?

Answered in 1 source

Christ is recognized as the one Lord because God declared Him as such by sovereignty, creation, and redemptive authority.

The Bible asserts that Jesus Christ is Lord by divine decree, as mentioned in Acts 2:36, where Peter declares that God has made Jesus both Lord and Christ. He is the creator of all things, as evident in John 1:3, where it states that all things were made through Him. Additionally, Christ's lordship is solidified by His redemptive work through His death and resurrection. Every knee will bow and every tongue confess His lordship, affirming His unique authority over all creation and the believer's life. Thus, true believers recognize and submit to Christ as their only Lord, distinct from any human authority.
