How do we know Christ is the only thing we need?

Answered in 1 source

Christ is the only true source of righteousness and satisfaction for our souls, as emphasized in Scripture.

Luke 18 recounts the story of the rich young ruler who, despite his wealth and adherence to the law, lacked the one necessary thing: a relationship with Christ. Jesus directed him to sell all he had and follow Him, indicating that true righteousness is found in submitting to Jesus rather than in worldly possessions. Our natural state is filled with sin and spiritual emptiness, and only in Christ can we find the righteousness we lack. Therefore, to know Christ and the power of His resurrection is to grasp the essence of what we truly need—salvation from our sins and the assurance of eternal life.
