How do we know Christ is the only true mediator?

Answered in 1 source

Scripture confirms that Christ is the sole mediator between God and man, as stated in 1 Timothy 2:5.

1 Timothy 2:5 explicitly states, 'For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.' This verse establishes Christ's unique role in reconciling us to God. Unlike any earthly advocates we might have, Jesus stands before the Father not only as our mediator but also as our representative and sacrifice. He embodies both divinity and humanity, enabling Him to bridge the gap caused by sin. This makes Him the only one qualified to intercede on our behalf. His advocacy is effective not merely by eloquence but by the power of His sacrificial death and resurrection, which satisfied divine justice and brought us closer to God.
