How do we know Christ is the perfect sacrifice?

Answered in 4 sources

Christ is the perfect sacrifice because His offering removes sin completely, unlike the repetitive sacrifices of the Old Testament.

Hebrews 9:12 declares, 'Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.' The author of Hebrews emphasizes that Christ's sacrifice is unique and sufficient—one offering for all sin, forever (Hebrews 10:12). Unlike the endless Levitical sacrifices, which only served to remind worshippers of their sins, Christ's sacrifice not only atones for sin but also perfects those who are sanctified, imparting a clean conscience to believers (Hebrews 10:14). This underscores the assurance of salvation and the completeness of Christ's work.
