How do we know Christ is the Redeemer?

Answered in 1 source

Christ is the Redeemer because He fulfills the requirements of kinship, ability, and willingness to redeem.

The role of a kinsman-redeemer is pivotal in understanding Christ's redemptive work. He must be a near kinsman, free of personal debt, able to satisfy God’s justice, and willingly act on behalf of those He redeems (Hebrews 2:10-13). Christ became our Kinsman through the incarnation, thus linking Himself to humanity. His ability to redeem stems from His dual nature as fully God and fully man. Finally, His willingness is demonstrated in His sacrificial love and obedience, fulfilling all requirements for redemption set forth in Scripture.
