How do we know Christ is the sacrifice for our sins?

Answered in 1 source

Scripture explicitly identifies Christ as the ultimate sacrifice, fulfilling the sacrificial system represented by the brazen altar.

The New Testament explicitly reiterates the necessity of Christ as our sacrifice. Hebrews 10:14 states, 'For by one offering he hath perfected forever them that are sanctified.' This indicates that the countless sacrifices made at the brazen altar were only symbolic of the ultimate sacrifice that Jesus would provide. The altar showcased the bloody acts required to atone for sin, pointing to Christ's own sacrificial death. As believers, we recognize that those animals could not truly take away sin but were mere shadows of the one who could—Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world.
