How do we know Christ is the source of life?

Answered in 2 sources

Christ's identity as the truth and the life, as declared in Scripture, assures believers that He is indeed the source of eternal life.

The assurance of Christ as the source of life is found in His own declarations and the teachings of Scripture. In John 14:6, Jesus asserts, 'I am the truth and the life,' which not only identifies Him as truth but also establishes Him as the embodiment of life itself. This profound statement encapsulates the core of Christian belief: that life apart from Christ is not genuine life.

Moreover, Scripture attests to Christ's unique role as the Redeemer, through whom believers receive spiritual life and growth. As noted in Romans 5:10, we are reconciled to God through the life of His Son. This reconciliation brings with it an eternal quality to the life we receive. Additionally, Paul’s epistles often emphasize the transformative impact of this relationship, illustrating that it is through our union with Christ that we experience newness of life (2 Corinthians 5:17). Therefore, the validity of Christ as our source of life rests on His nature as both God and Savior, compelling us to trust in Him fully.
