How do we know Christ is the theme of the Old Testament?

Answered in 1 source

Christ is the theme of the Old Testament as He is the fulfillment of the promises and prophecies found within it.

Throughout the Old Testament, Christ is presented in various forms: as the promised seed in Genesis 3:15, the sacrificial Lamb in Exodus during the Passover, and ultimately as the fulfillment of the law and prophets. Jesus himself affirms this truth when He states that 'Moses wrote of me' (John 5:46). The entire sacrificial system, typified by the blood of lambs and goats, points to the ultimate sacrifice made by Christ on the cross. His resurrection and authority affirm that all scripture bears witness to Him, making Him the cornerstone of both the Old and New Testaments.
