How do we know Christ is the way, the truth, and the life?

Answered in 2 sources

Christ is proclaimed as the way, the truth, and the life in Scripture, affirming that no one comes to the Father but through Him.

In understanding who Christ is, we look to His own testimony and the declarations made about Him in Scripture. Jesus states in John 14:6, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.' This underscores His unique role in salvation, indicating that He is not just a guide or teacher among many but the sole means by which sinners can be reconciled to God. The consistency of this truth throughout Scripture, from the prophetic announcements to the apostolic teachings, reinforces its validity. The acknowledgment that Jesus is the Messiah and the Lamb of God points to His sacrificial role, providing grace and truth that fulfill the law (John 1:17). Thus, Christ's identity as the only way to the Father is both a theological and biblical truth foundational to sovereign grace theology.
